This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Lexus LS 460 is an all-new vehicle. Compared to the LS 430 it replaces, the LS 460 is about the same size but more powerful and refined, and comes with a host of new features. An extended-wheelbase model is new, and a hybrid-powered version, dubbed the LS 600h L, is expected to debut next year.

Pros:
  • Extremely quiet, intelligent cabin design, high-quality materials, powerful V8 engine and slick eight-speed transmission.
Cons:
  • Base suspension allows too much body roll and brake dive when driven aggressively on curvy roads.

  • I should have bought something else - 2007 Lexus LS 460

This is a great vehicle, but with one real problem and a few minor problems. A couple of months after owning the car both my wife and I started to notice that the front seats were becoming less comfortable. It feels like there is a bar across the back of the seat and down the middle. Theres no way I could drive the car for some hours. My Lexus dealer says this is normal stretching. Very limited access to the navigation system while moving is a pain. There is an annoying tick from the engine compartment at idle which the dealer says is normal. Wind noise is present at above 45 MPH.

  • A bargain, if twice the price - 2007 Lexus LS 460

Front interior room seems wider and higher. Vehicle is faster and more responsive than the LS 430. Leather work is craftsman style as in the SC 430. Enjoying the satellite radio. Strong climate control. No wind noise. The engine is now audible at idle. 8 forward gears. Came with Bridgestones not Dunlops: runs straight down the road - no wandering drift. Stronger brakes than the LS 430 . Easier steering. Larger view from backup camera . This car is a 10. Nothing negative!

  • Better than Benz - 2007 Lexus LS 460

I test drove the Benz S series. No comparison. My Benz experience bad, so I said lets try Lexus. Fell in love immediately! Bottom line, reliability. Everything is great, except I wish instead of ash tray they used that for storage. I want a place to just put my phone or keys. If you have the $s this is the car. Power, looks, reliability, this car has it!

  • Best handled LS but poorer in quality - 2007 Lexus LS 460
    By -

The overall technology features added on this vehicle enhanced comfortableness, drive-ability, handling, performance, and fuel efficient over the previous LS generations. However, craftsmanship over some area have shown degraded quality controls, i.e.interior parts show symptoms of early wears and tears. Wind noise continued to exist even after replacement of front double layers glasses. This is a disappointment for a luxury at this level. NAV system voice activation is terrible; unable to recognize 50% of commands given. Glove compartment door is already falling apart at 30K miles. Bottom line is its a great luxury ride with some angrily imperfections.

  • Some design flaws - 2007 Lexus LS 460
    By -

I have owned 5 Lexus. 1st was 1990. The best was last model of the 430. The new model has the following flaws, 1) Seat comfort is not the same as previous. 2) The rear view window is not large enough an one suffers from not having the same visibility as previous models. 3) The trunk is smaller due to the larger indented wheel wells that result in loss of space. 4) The design doesnt say, distinctive or luxury... instead it says, "this is a pregnant Camry."

  • NAV system terrible - 2007 Lexus LS 460
    By -

In Canada, do not waste your money on Nav system. I live in Toronto and have had no end of troubles. Canada is an after-thought and even Lexus Canada will admit that the Nav system is woefully inaccurate and incomplete. Often advised that "house number does not exist". Entire towns in the Maritimes do not exist (St. Andrews, NB). Rely on this system and you will get lost and stay lost. In Quebec you better know the french names. System frequently sends me down blind alleys and blocked streets in Toronto. Lexus says sorry but read fine print, NICE service, eh!

  • Silver LS 460 - 2007 Lexus LS 460

I took delivery on Oct 27 after 8 months waiting. It has been worth it -- far superior in all ways except smoothness of ride to my 2000 LS 400. Comfort and ergonomics are great. The DVD navigation system is an improvement over my wifes SC 430 and the voice recognition works perfectly. The brake hold feature is a wonderful touch; I use it all the time. Comfort of the seats is great and the back seats are simply exceptional. I am always surprised at the comparisons with big MBs/BMWs where the LS is denigrated for its handling. I dont buy a 4200 pound car for handling. I am interested in comfort, quiet, seamless power, good brakes, intuitive controls and DEPENDABILITY. The LS excels !

  • Love my Lexus - 2007 Lexus LS 460

This car sets the standards. Definitely the King of the road.
